Once a time's agreed, the confirmation email is what actually gets the candidate there. A Meeting-link block carries the Join button, dial-in, and a live countdown to start time, and an Add-to-calendar block hands over a real .ics download so the invite lands correctly in the candidate's own timezone.
MailInApp doesn't pick the time or show available slots — there's no self-serve scheduler here. What it does well is turning an agreed time into a confirmation that actually gets used.
A Join link that's ready when they need it
A Meeting-link block carries the Join button, any dial-in, and a live countdown to start time. The button is real and working the moment you hit send — an email can't be re-checked as the clock ticks down, so there's nothing to gate on the link itself. What is gated is the hosted "view online" page: open that before the window (15 minutes before start by default) and it shows a not-yet-open placeholder instead of the button.
Correct in whatever timezone the candidate's in
Add-to-calendar builds a real .ics file plus Google Calendar and Outlook.com links from an absolute UTC instant — so however the candidate's calendar app is configured, the appointment shows up converted correctly to their own local time.
Collect what you need before the call
An optional short Form field — a portfolio link, a preferred pronunciation of their name — submits inline in the same confirmation email, ahead of the actual conversation.
A reminder closer to the day
There's no automatic "N hours before" trigger — send a second email with the same Meeting-link block shortly before the interview if a same-day reminder fits your process.
